Jessi Ngatikaura best known from The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives and as a candid presence on MomTok recently responded to speculation following a revealing selfie that caught critics’ attention. In the post, viewers noticed stitches just beneath her lower lash line and quickly assumed she had undergone a lower blepharoplasty.

But Jessi took to Instagram shortly after to clarify that what she had was, in fact, a much gentler procedure: an in-office under‑eye “skin pinch” rather than the more invasive surgery. The unveiling came with a wry mused caption that perhaps the procedure was her revenge on critics: if the treatment takes ten years off her life she’d still choose to go through with it.

In the affectionate and open video she posted, Jessi explains that the quick procedure was performed while under mild sedation, including laughing gas and Valium not full anesthesia, as some might have feared.

She described how the “skin pinch” gently lifts crepey, loose under‑eye skin an issue she attributed both to natural aging and the rapid twenty‑pound weight loss she experienced. The goal, she said, was simply to look more refreshed, to tighten what she had become insecure about under her eyes, not to seek dramatic transformation.

The response to her honesty was swift and mixed. Jessi said she expected a flood of comments, and they arrived nearly immediately, many critical. In true Jessi fashion she met them with both grace and a dose of humor, gently reminding observers that her cosmetic enhancements were subtle by intent. She confessed she didn’t think people would even notice she was doing this for herself, not for shock value.

This transparency is nothing new for Jessi. Earlier this summer she addressed critiques about her appearance, including those unfairly calling her “masculine,” with similar openness and kindness qualities that have cemented her status as a trusted and relatable voice in the digital space.

Through it all, Jessi continues to keep fans informed with post‑procedure updates, from her skincare routine to medication she’s using during recovery. She holds firm to self-acceptance and personal agency a reminder that cosmetic decisions can be empowering rather than performative.
