Anna Grace Phelan, a rising TikTok influencer from Georgia known for sharing her faith and health journey, has tragically passed away at the age of 19 after a valiant battle with brain cancer.
Phelan, who gained a large following on TikTok for her inspiring outlook despite her diagnosis, died on May 23, 2025. Her family confirmed the heartbreaking news in a statement posted on her TikTok account, which had amassed nearly 400,000 followers. “It is with the heaviest of hearts we share that our precious Anna Grace has gone home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ,” the message read. “She passed peacefully, surrounded by those who love her most.”
Anna Grace’s cancer diagnosis came just days before she was scheduled to begin her freshman year of college in September 2024. Doctors diagnosed her with glioblastoma, an aggressive and rare form of brain tumor that is considered incurable. Though the prognosis was grim, Anna Grace chose to face it publicly and with remarkable strength, using her social media platforms to document her journey and inspire others.
She shared deeply personal moments on TikTok, often talking about her faith in God, her experiences with treatment, and the physical and emotional toll of the illness. Her positivity resonated with many across the platform, turning her into a beacon of hope for thousands facing similar hardships.
In one of her final TikTok posts dated May 14, 2025, Anna Grace updated her followers, saying, “The tumor has grown, and it’s affecting my breathing now. It’s getting harder each day, but I still believe in miracles. Please keep praying.” The video quickly went viral, with an outpouring of love and prayers flooding the comments section.
A GoFundMe page launched by her family to assist with medical expenses and travel needs had raised more than $65,000 by the time of her passing. The fundraiser described her as “a light to everyone she met, full of faith, strength, and joy,” and emphasized how deeply loved she was by her community.
Anna Grace was remembered by friends, family, and followers as a kind-hearted and faithful young woman who brought light into the lives of those around her. Her parents, William “Buddy” Phelan and Nadine Phelan, and her younger brother, Harper David Phelan, survive her. In a separate tribute, her family described her as “a fighter, a dreamer, and someone who trusted God through every storm.”
A public celebration of her life will be held on May 29, 2025, at Galilee Christian Church in Jefferson, Georgia. The service is expected to draw large attendance, both from the local community and others who had followed her online. The church will also livestream the event for those who wish to honor her life from afar.
Though Anna Grace’s time was tragically short, the impact she made during her 19 years, especially through her online presence, will be remembered by many. Her legacy is one of resilience, hope, and unwavering faith.
