Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia is recovering after a frightening medical emergency that quickly turned from what seemed like ordinary stomach pain into emergency surgery. The influencer and podcast host shared the details of her experience through TikTok videos that left fans shocked by how serious the situation became within just a few hours. Known for her candid online personality and unfiltered storytelling, LaPaglia described intense pain, projectile vomiting, and a terrifying overnight ordeal that ultimately revealed a dangerous ovarian condition requiring immediate surgery.

The twenty six year old explained that the situation began after spending time with the man she is currently dating. The pair reportedly ate Taco Bell together before she started feeling discomfort in her stomach later that evening. At first, she assumed the fast food was upsetting her stomach and attempted to sleep through the pain. Instead, the symptoms became dramatically worse overnight. LaPaglia recalled waking up in severe pain before collapsing onto the bathroom floor while vomiting and convulsing. She later described the pain as “20 out of 10,” saying it became impossible to ignore.

After hours of worsening symptoms, LaPaglia went to the emergency room where she initially felt dismissed by a doctor who believed her discomfort was likely connected to the food she had eaten. However, a vaginal ultrasound quickly revealed the actual cause of the problem. Doctors discovered a giant ovarian cyst that had caused ovarian torsion, a serious condition where the ovary twists and cuts off blood supply. The condition can become life threatening if not treated immediately, with risks including internal bleeding and permanent organ damage. Once doctors realized the severity of the situation, LaPaglia was transferred by ambulance to another hospital for emergency surgery.

During the surgery, doctors reportedly found half a liter of blood pooled in her pelvic floor. Surgeons used a camera inserted through her belly button to locate the bleeding and remove the cyst completely. LaPaglia later revealed she now has five incisions across her stomach from the operation. Although visibly emotional while speaking about the experience, she praised the all female surgical team that treated her, calling them “badasses” for how quickly and professionally they handled the emergency. She also admitted feeling frustrated about the physical scars left behind, especially because the surgery happened during a major transition period in her life.

At the time of the surgery, LaPaglia was preparing to move into a new apartment, meaning the medical emergency completely disrupted her plans. She joked online that she was now “technically homeless” because her move-in date happened to fall on the same day as her operation. Instead of settling into her apartment and enjoying what she expected to be a relaxing Sunday, she spent the day recovering from emergency surgery. Despite the chaos, she repeatedly thanked the man she is currently dating for staying beside her throughout the ordeal, saying he sat with her in the emergency room, waited during surgery, and cared for her afterward.

The emotional response from fans online reflected how deeply many people connected with her story, particularly women who have experienced ovarian cysts, medical dismissal, or reproductive health emergencies themselves. LaPaglia’s openness about the pain, fear, and recovery process sparked conversations around women’s healthcare and how serious symptoms are sometimes brushed aside initially. While she is still dealing with significant pain during recovery, LaPaglia appears focused on healing and remaining transparent with her audience. Her experience became more than just another celebrity health scare. It turned into a reminder of how quickly ordinary symptoms can escalate into something life threatening and why immediate medical attention can sometimes make all the difference.
